Raven had just prepared a mug of the new lavender white tea she'd purchased the other day when Starfire floated over, her ever-present smile shining like always. Raven nodded hello when Starfire waved, then watched as the Tamaranean princess drifted past her towards the fridge.

When she realized she was staring she groaned, shaking her head before reaching for her favorite mug.

Let's hope this stuff does as advertised and helps me get over this… infatuation.

She'd bought the tea when Starfire had draged her (not totally against her will) to the mall a few days ago. As she'd trailed after her fellow titan while she flitted in and out of numerous stores, she saw a small shop named "Teavana," and had gotten curious. Walking in, she'd been amazed; tea cannisters and teapots and every other manner of tea merchandise lined the shelves.

She'd seen a display featuring a new tea: Lavender Dreams White Tea. It was guaranteed to relax both the mind and the body; the card describing it's flavor had even gone so far as to call it a "lullaby" of silk and smoothness.

And when Starfire had come up from behind her and wrapped her arms around Raven's waist in a completely innocent hug… Raven knew she needed something to quell her desires.

So today, as she poured herself a cup, she prayed it would work, and that the warmth in her cheeks and her need to turn and resume staring at her "best friend," would go away. And with the first sip, she thought that maybe it just might work. She felt instantly calmer, the warmth in her cheeks slipping away, down into her stomach as the tea filled her with it's calming energy. Her want to gaze at at Starfire was replaced by the want to take another sip, and she did as her mind requested.

"Is this a new blend, Friend Raven? How does it taste?"

Raven turned, a dreamy little smile on her face. "It's better than I'd hoped I would be."

Starfire giggled, reaching past her to take the cannister in her hands. As her teammate read the writing on the container, Raven was made proud by the fact that she didn't blush or flinch away at her crush's proximity.

"it sounds wonderful! Might I try some?"

"Sure, let me just pour you a mug…" Raven took another long swig from her own mug before reaching for another to give to Starfire. She'd barely moved before Starfire reached out and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Or we could just do this."

Raven tried to swallow so she could ask Starfire what she meant, but suddenly there was a warm hand on her cheek and even warmer lips against her own. Eyes going as wide as saucers, a strangled gasp of surprise came from the back of Ravens throat. She gasped when she felt the a warm tongue flick against her lower lip, then ease it's way into her mouth as her lips parted.

Raven's breathing was heavy and ragged by the time Starfire pulled away; her knees went weak when she heard Starfire swallow, realizing that the tea was gone. Falling back against the counter, Raven watched with glazed eyes as Starfire considered the flavor.

"Hm… I prefer a less complex flavor, myself. But if you like it, Friend Raven, that is all that matters!"

Raven continued to pant as Starfire drifted away, humming to herself. She looked at the tea cannister, sitting innocently on the counter. She took it in her hands, reading the label once more.

'Enjoy a relaxing evening… …sweet floral enriched dreams… …a magical lullaby…'

She tossed it in the trash and it took every ounce of willpower she had not to sprint to her room. She needed to meditate, before the entire tower exploded.

Magical lullaby my ass.
