Notes: E/O Challenge – Friend. Spoilers for S5 – Abandon All Hope.
The night was winding down, as was the fire in the fireplace. Dean and Jo had disappeared outside, allegedly to talk, and Sam had gone to bed. Ellen and Bobby sat side by side on the couch. The fire was low, but they could still feel the residual warmth.
Ellen unconsciously leaned her head on Bobby's shoulder. He could feel her shivering. He slowly brought his arm around his friend's shoulder, pulling her to him. Rather than punch him in the head, as he expected, Ellen welcomed his comforting touch. Bobby closed his eyes and fell into a contented sleep.
