Piper couldn't wait to see Jason again after he came back from Camp Jupiter. He had promised that he had something special in stall for her when he came back and she was nearly bursting with curiosity. What could it be? A voice asked in her head. But another said why has Drew always got that smug smile on whenever you talk about Jason? But I always choice to ignore that voice.
It was the day before Jason came home and I couldn't wait for it. I couldn't stop talking about it to Lacy! The day went ever so slowly, even sword fighting seemed boring, which is surprising because I normally enjoy it so much. When we were walking back from archery I was talking about Jason and Lacy said,
"Piper about Jason, there's something I want to tell you-" And then suddenly Drew appeared next to her and asked,
"What are you talking about?" Lacy shrunk back,
"N-nothing Drew!" I narrowed my eyes at her, something was wrong and I was going to find out what!
Piper lounged by the strawberry fields in the afternoon of Jason's return. He was meant to be back by now. She went and asked one of the campers if Jason was back yet and they said they saw him go off with Drew to behind the cabins and she knew something was up, she crept up and peeked around and what Piper saw was dreadful. Jason and Drew were snogging! And they were really getting into it. She couldn't believe he had cheated on me. Piper wondered how long this had been going on for? She remembered the way Jason had looked at Drew when he was last here, a few more images flashed in my mind. Why hadn't she seen this coming? Finally She couldn't stand it anymore She went up to them and slapped Jason.
"Next time lover boy," Piper snarled, "Dump a girl before you go making out with the rest!" But he just smiled and said "Ooops!" and grinned at Drew who was laughing her head off and that was it for me she ran into the woods and didn't look back she didn't stop running until she was sure the camp would never find me. then she sat down and cried.
When Piper awoke she saw a bunch of girls looking at me, with the leader a auburn haired girl around thirteen with a sudden she realised they were the hunters of Artemis and the girl must be Artemis. I bowed my head,
"Milady," I knew that this was where I belonged, "Milady I would like to join the hunters of Artemis and swear of boys forever." Artemis and Thalia exchanged looks,
"Very well then Piper," Thalia eventually said, "Follow me and you can pledge to follow Artemis and the Hunt." I followed Artemis and Thalia into a silver tent at the end,
When we were all seated Artemis said
"Repeat after me, I will follow the hunt,"
"I will follow the hunt,"

Artemis smiled "You are now a Hunter of Artemis,"
Piper smiled.
She was given clothes and a bow and arrow, which she had never been very good at but now she had flawless accuracy. She finally had a family and she was never going back to lying thieving boys!
