The eldest turtle chuckled as he made his way down the stairs where two of his brothers were waiting for him. He groaned as pain from his wound shot through his body and the happy faces became worried faces.

"Don't worry, I'll be sitting down"

Donnie nodded and Mikey carefully hugged him before taking off "Raph don't..." "-get hurt when shooting fireworks I know Leo" Said the red masked brother and turned to give his injured brother a thumbs up before turning back to his work. He sometimes hated to worry Leo like that but nothing was going to happen...he hoped.

Leo sat down on one of the chairs and accepted the blanket Donnie gave him even though they were dressed warm, Leo did just survive another encounter with the Foot but this time he didn't fall in a coma.

"Get back you guys!" Casey shouted as he lit up the fireworks and ninja jumped over to the group. They watched as the fireworks one by one lit the sky and Raph felt relieved that nothing went-...

"SHIT!"

...Wrong.

Casey dived as the firework went ballistic and when it exploded Raph felt how someone tossed him away and how April screamed in horror, Raph flipped around and saw how Leo landed on his knees with his hands covering his face.

"Oh shell LEO!" He shouted and tried to run but the snow was deep and he tripped on his way to his brother "you okay?! Plz tell me you didn't take another hit for me!

Leo removed his hands and Raph could see a angry burn mark on his cheek, but his eyes were just fine.

"i'm fine"

"if I hear those word one more time you damn won't be!"

"Hehe, I know..."

April carefully applied some cream that would that would ease the burns on Leo's face while Raph shouted his voice box out at Casey for nearly killing his brother. Leo chuckled when the two started to wrestle around in the snow while Donnie set up some smaller fireworks so that Mikey would be distracted from what happened a few minuets ago. The light show had both the younger turtles under it's spell and saw how a few bigger fireworks still lit the sky, Mikey took of towards the barn and came out with some led pipes and a hammer.

"Good thinking Mikey, that should keep my face intact" Leo said and chuckled and both of them clocked down in a laughing fit, after a while they both got up and proceeded with the work of ramming the pipe into the ground and soon three of the fireworks lit the sky.

"Okay you bulls! Knock it off before you get really hurt!" April shouted at the hotheads.

"Or what!"

"We got plenty fireworks left and I dare to show them up where it really hurts!" She smiled like a devil and showed the two he hid behind her back, the sight made her look like a demon but the effect worked. Raph was behind Leo in second and Casey was standing straight like a plank.

Leo smiled as Mikey went all kiddy crazy as Donnie lit another small firework and when it burned out he deflated like a balloon, he got up and winced as the stitched wound on his chest was pulled and the bit back the cry of pain that went through him as he made his way to his brothers.

He already figured this would be another crazy year.

very short but that's coz I wrote on my phone and thought it gives good practice I'm a fast typer so there were also of mistakes as I took time to read it, good thing my mom never uses her mini laptop anymore since my parents got their tablet (dear lord they always hold those when I go downstairs XD)
