It was evening, Lucy and Plue were headed home after a regular day at Fairy Tail. They had just come home from a quest the day before and Erza thought they should all rest up before heading out again. So every one had spent the day at Fairy Tail, but of course, Natsu and Gray got into a fight as always, while somehow knocking into Fried which resulted in everyone turning into bunnies. Thankfully, Levy was able to work some magic and turn everyone back to normal.
Lucy yawned as she opened the door. "Geez, why do Natsu and Gray always have to cause so much trouble?"
"Okairi Lucy!" Happy said. Natsu, Gray and Erza were already at her house eating around her table.
"What are you doing in my house?!" Lucy exclaimed, even though she was used to seeing them all the time, she still didn't like them there without her knowing.
"We thought we should have some quality bonding time." Erza said.
"What do you mean? We bond all the time! Stop coming to my house unannounced!" Lucy said, annoyed.
"But Lucy, if we did that then you wouldn't have this great cake." Gray said, bringing out a pink frosted cake.
"Where did you get that?!" Lucy asked.
"I made it. I can cook you know. It was Erza's idea to have some." Gray explained, bored.
Lucy sighed in defeat and sat down at the table with everyone. She did like cake. Plus, after such a hectic day, she was tired of arguing.
"Alright! Lets eat!" Natsu said. Everyone dug in. Natsu accidentally knocked over Erza's cake. A hush fell over everyone.
"My cake..." Erza said quietly.
"It's ok! We have plenty of cake! Here's another piece!" Lucy said, hoping to satisfy Erza before she blew.
"But that would be impolite of me to take more than my share of cake that Gray worked so hard on! No, I cannot accept such a generous offer from a friend!" Erza said, though she accepted the cake. Lucy inwardly sighed.
After a meal of cake, the five of them decided to play a new board game Natsu bought. Of course, Erza creamed everyone, which made Natsu go on a rampage and demand a rematch. Erza beat him again. And again. And again. By the time Erza and Natsu had finished their fifth game, Lucy was passed out on the couch, Happy curled up asleep in her lap, and Gray was sleeping at her feet. Erza glanced up at her sleeping friends and smiled one of her rare smiles of content.
"Should we wake them up?" Natsu asked.
"No, let them sleep. It is good to have quiet moments with friends."
"Ah, well, I guess so." Natsu said, leaning back on the couch. He brought his hands to the back of his head and started to drift off. Erza could sleep anywhere and just went straight to sleep on the floor. All was quiet while the strongest team in Fairy Tail spent a peaceful night together, perfectly content.
