Chapter I

Life seemed to slip by as Hermione stared out her window in the dark shadows of her room. Many thoughts seemed to fill her mind as the light of day slipped behind the horizon. As if drifted off into space, Hermione could think of nothing except for her dear sweet Ron. Nothing could ever come close to how she felt about Ron. He may not know, but Hermione could be sure that maybe just maybe, he thought about her as much as she thought about him. Hermione decided that life would continue on, but her guarded secret would never be uttered. Hermione and Ron had the perfect friendship. Nothing was wrong except for the occasional fights that broke out between them.

It was in the late 1950's and women were considered to be respectable and they're to serve only men. Hermione was different, well at least different from the rest. Of course she was respectable and indeed had a dream to have a family of her own once she was of age, but that was not her life's work as intended. Hermione wanted to fulfill what no women has even dared to venture into. Born in the muggle world, Hermione had no idea what else was out there, but being the bookworm that she is, which I must say was not a very respectable thing for a lady to be of this time, she read many books on the inevitable. Her dreams had come true when she received the Hogwarts letter of abs entice.

All she knew was that she couldn't wait to tell Ron. Hermione's thoughts went back to this flashback. Hermione and Ron spent their entire childhood and many more years after that together. The reason they had met each other was because their mothers had been the best of friends. Little did they know they were destined to be together. They were in diapers together, and went through the hormonally raged years of being a teenager. Mrs.Weasley and Mrs. Granger knew all along that someday, the young couple would build their friendship into something more.

Hermione and Ron met that fateful day at the playground or more precisely in the sandbox. It's actually a quite funny story. Ron had poured a bucket of sand in little Hermione's diaper and said she had mud for hair. From that day on Hermione and Ron have never been separated. This of course was all before they knew they were witches and wizards, not belonging of the muggle world. Many a thing has happened since then. It was all quite hard to believe for Hermione.

And for one you all might be wondering who is telling this story. My name is Artemis Weasley; a descendant of Ron's an old one at that. I have watched this story unfold from the edges of my portrait. It gets quite boring just sitting here in this frame all day long.

So I thought I might interest you with this story. If you quite don't like it you could leave I'm not going to hold you here hostage...well wait a minute.... I think I just might do that. I mean I have nothing else to do so why not? And you're probably wondering how I can see this all if I'm a portrait in the Weasley's hallway. Well I've been able to travel quite a bit and boy do I enjoy it. Well anyways back to the story now where have I left off? Oh yeah I was telling you how the young Hermione and Ron had met. Well isn't it quite cute how they met as babies on that fateful day in the sandbox? Well at least I thought so.

A/N Sorry guys more will be coming later and Sorry that I stopped it at this point..... REVIEW PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
