A Different Man
A different man, a better man, would have loved her for her perfections. He loved her for her
imperfections; for the chipped polish on her toes, the chicken pox scar above her eyebrow. He
loved that she gave pieces of her soul but received pain in return and yet kept on giving; the way
she accepted and cherished their differences, yet firmly held onto her own beliefs. He loved her
duality - her faith in God and foothold in science, her hard exterior and vulnerable interior. The
lies she told to herself at night. He loved her for her imperfections.
