Hey guys! It has been so long! I am so so so so so so sorry for disappearing on you. I took AP U.S History last semester, and it was supposed to be a two semseter class, but at my highschool it is one semester. So I had roughly four chapters a week, averaging 30 -40 definitons and 65 pages at least per chaper plus notes, a chapter multiple choice test, a DBQ and essay. Needless to say I was completely consumed by homework. I love you guys! Please read and enjoy!

Edward Elric was not one to share his feelings, what his day was like, or the crazy and hard to comprehend ideas that were locked in his head. That being said, Roy was no fool either. He watched Edward from time to time as he fought through some form of alchemical algerithems in his mind before finally writing something down in his coded notebook. At one point in time Roy tried to decifer it but found to no avail he could not crack it.

Even now, Roy watched as the blonde teenager sat at the table in the study, a bandage wrapped tightly around his mid-section and his only human arm hanging limply in a sling; his black stretchy pants covered his legs, one leg crossed under the other.

It hadn't been that long since the accident, and those notes that had gotten him almost killed obsess all of his time. Alphonse insisted Edward should leave the notes alone and focus on rehabilitation but even his attempts were in vain.

The phone rang and Roy moved from the doorway of the study to the phone on the coffee table nearby.

"Mustang," he said gruffly.

"Colonel Mustang, there has been another break in but we have yet to find any finger prints or DNA." the coroner said.

Roy turned his back away from Edward, who's full attention was locked on Roys conversation now.

"How many bodies this time?"

The coroner sighed, "enough. There are so many that are unrecognizable that many are only identifiable by their wristbands. We need your help on this."

Roy frowned, hanging up the phone. He knew the power struggle that was about to go down. He turned back to face Ed, and came face to face with the young boy who had managed to mvoeright behind Roy without his knowing.

"It's happened again hasn't it." Edward said.

Roy wasn't sure how to answer because he knew that Ed would see through whatever lie he could think up on the spot, and he had probably heard most of the conversation from across the room.

"Yes. but you are not going anywhere. I have to go take a look around at the crime scene but you have to stay here."

"I can help you look!" Ed argued back, " two pairs of eyes are better than one! Please!"

Roy had nevr heard Ed say please before, but it was just too dangerous.

"The house is surrounded by MP's Ed, you're not going anywhere. Stay here, take a nap, listen to the roadio broadcast do whatever; you are not going."

Ed didnt't argue back against the Colonel,he did; however, take that as a challenge of his sneaking abillity.

"Fine," Ed said, "challenge accepted."

Roy took a step towards the door. "I'm serious Fullmetal, stay here."

Edward smirked, eyebrow raised and sat back down at the table and began writing notes again.

Roy left the room, giving all the MP's a stern talking to about keeping an eye on him. Hopefully all of them combined could have the same thinking capacity of Ed. Hopefully Al wouldn't aid him in his foolsih attempt either.
