Look at the Sun

AN/ I don't know why I put this up...it's rather dull. I guess it was sweet. I probably misspelled the French in the first part, so if you see that, tell me.

"Look at the sun, Mama!" The little boy tried to open the curtains, but was stopped by a croaking voice.

"Non, Tamaki. The sun hurts Mama's eyes..." His mother said softly.

The little boy looked sad. "Oh. Jesui desole, Mama..."

"It's alright, Rene."

The little boy was worried. It was only when his Mama was very unwell that she forgot to call him by his name of choice and his middle name, Tamaki, and instead by his real name: Rene. He walked quietly over to the keyboard.

"Would you like me to play for you, Mama?"

She smiled slightly, but tiredly. "All right. Quietly, though."

So he played for her. He tried to please her.

Because it was all he could do.

In the present day, Tamaki looked out the window of the room of the Host Club, after they had already catered to their customers. Most of the others had left.

"Is something wrong, Tamaki-senpai?"

He looked at Haruhi, smiling. "No, no, no! Nothing's wrong, Haruhi-chan! Don't worry yourself over it, mon ami..."

"I wasn't...I was just asking."

His smile faltered. He looked outside, his smile suddenly coming again.

And he admitted:

"I just wish it was sunny..."

"Why?"

"Because the sun's a lot prettier than all this gray! Don't you think?"

"I guess..."

"I mean, the sun is so...bright! I like bright! Don't you?"

The way he looked at her reminded Haruhi of the very thing he was talking about, so excitedly, and she gave him a little smile.

"Of course."
