c. It's just a drabble, something I came up with while watching an episode of my new favorite show. Criminal minds, but of course. The episode where JJ leaves, and in the ending scene Garcia is saying that they were a family. The thought of a fanfiction was almost necessary.
Family is not an important thing. It is everything.
The BAU lives by this unspoken statement.
They are not friends. No. They are family.
A crazy, smart, brave, criminal-hunting, family.
Reid... Reid of course was the youngest. The little brother. ((despite being a genius)) The cute, naïve, child-like baby brother.
Morgan was always with baby brother. ((giving him tips and showing him the dating ropes)) The big brother. Protective, humorous, and light-hearted.
Prentiss was looking out for big brother, and little brother. ((and they always return the favor)) The older sister. Sarcastic, responsible, but full of love.
Garcia was at the crossroads. Little sister or big sister? ((it didn't matter because everybody loved her as both)) Sweet, funny, and the light of a dreary job.
Rossi was a lot like an uncle. An uncle whom is like a second father. ((others loved him like so)) Serious, yet mellow.
JJ was of course, mother-dearest. Treated as so, and fine with it. ((baby brother really loved her)) Lovable, reliable, and always one scold the children.
Hotch is daddy. ((of course, what else would he be)) Only looks for the families best interests, worries about himself later, knows when the family should be serious, and when it was fine to play.
They weren't perfect. They weren't real to others.
Strictly platonic, dysfunctional in many ways, all dealing with some traumatic past.
But they suppose its why they are so close. They've seen the horrors. They've seen pain, felt it.
The term family is what kept them sane. ((even if others begged to differ))
And they were fine with that.
Because family wasn't important. It was everything.
I think some of these characteristics are off. I've only recently gotten hooked on the show, and the only one I've specified on was Reid.
Please excuse me, I am new, no flames please. I'll try to fix it once I get deeper into the show itself, along with its characters.
