"As you may remember from seventh grade science, the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell..."

Star sighed heavily. How many days had it been since summer vacation, again?

"...Therefore, out of pure exposure, bodies like ours that have had long exposure towards ectoplasm gain immunity over time. Yes, Mikey? Good, good, it is like vaccine immunity. Carrying on, ectoplasm is a rare substance forming only in the dimension known as the Ghost Zone..."

Ever since tensions between ghost and human relations had grown, the school board thought it was necessary to "educate" students on the concepts of the supernatural. Totally not like everybody and their dead grandmother didn't know what ghosts were, no pun intended.

"...Obviously we have seen that ectoplasm holds such chemical qualities as to produce life - Baxter, I hope you're taking notes, we have an exam on this tomorrow and I'm sure your coach wouldn't mind you staying after class to finish it."

She snickered as Dash's cheeks turned a harsh red and hurriedly started flipping through his notebook. Star amiably toyed with a strand in her hair, contemplating the trajectory of her pencil to the back of Fenton's head. Hey, she was good at trig. Maybe if she just borrowed Paulina's hair tie and leaned a bit to the left of her desk, she'd hit bullsey-

BAM.

The class shrieked, students clambering over each other to get away. Mr. Lancer frantically pushed as many students as he could to the door and scrambled past frazzled teenagers to see what was going on. Star dropped her pencil.

"Oh my God," Lancer whispered.

The crumpled form of Danny Fenton laid on his desk with blood pooling out of his brains in lento.

A collapsed metal fragment sat shining in two desks away from him. Lancer picked it up, hands trembling. "I-it's a real bullet. No-no ghost attack. It's...it's a real bullet. A real bullet."

Someone beat her to it.

I blame this drabble (kindasortanot) on the summary of Shardas's oneshot Oblivion, where I thought it was gonna be Danny getting shot point-blank in class but it wasn't, and I couldn't find another one so I made my own lmao

Also, shocked Lancer.

Danny Phantom doesn't belong to me, and neither does the spirit of Christmas.

Hope you enjoyed :)
