"You wouldn't."
"I would."
"No way!"
"Yep."
"10 Galleons says you won't."
Harry smiled at his best friend, Ron Weasley, mischief in his emerald green eyes. He looked around at the others, all of whom had the same disbelieving look as Ron on their faces. "Anyone else want in on this bet?"
"I'm in," Ginny said, with a grin.
"Me too," Hermione chimed in. "I've got to see this."
"Double for us!" Fred and George added.
Harry smiled again. "Alright, here goes." He strode across the room to where Sirius Black was sitting, reading a magazine. He took the magazine from the older man's hands, leaned down, and kissed him deeply on the lips. He then placed the magazine back in his hands and walked back to the group of shocked onlookers as if nothing had happened.
He fought to keep from laughing as the dim understanding of what they had just witnessed faded, and the group become coherent again. "There, I win. Pay up."
Each person dropped some coins into Harry's outstretched hands and left the room, mumbling under their breath, or in the case of Ginny and Hermione, giggling hysterically. When the last person had left, Harry felt a strong set of arms circle his waist, and a head rest itself on his shoulder.
"Betting again, I see. Did it ever occur to you that when they find out we've been dating for the better part of three months, they're going to want to maim you for taking their money?" Sirius said, failing to hide the amusement in his voice.
Harry shrugged. "Yeah, but until then, it's just fun to watch them squirm. Now come on, I'm feeling the need for a butterbeer."
Sirius grinned, admiritionin his eyes as the young man pulled him out the door. "Ok, but you're buying."
