She is sheltered by her demon, draws comfort from her demon. The demon
could have killed her with his sword (she was already dead) but did not.
She follows him although he does not ask her to - he knows this and lets
her do it, the sound of her heart pounding magnified in his ears. She is
warm, is vulnerable; if he strikes her, she will die. One day she will
leave him eternally and then there will be no more flesh to remind him of
his father, he will continue uninterrupted the conquering and the drowning
in blood.
