When Souji Seta returned home one day after school, he was surprised to find his little cousin Nanako standing out on the front steps, waving at him. He was even more surprised by the large creature in the diving suit with a drill for an arm standing behind her. Its clunky body was dripping with water, and it was probably around 6 to 7 feet tall.
Souji smacked his hands to his cheeks. "...OH MY GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWD!!!!"
"Hey, Onii-sama!" Nanako called out happily, the large metal monster waving a hefty gloved hand in unison with her. Without a second of further hesitation, Souji tossed his book bag to the side, ran over to Nanako, snatched her up into his arms, and quickly ran off down the street. He had to get her as far away from that thing as possible...whatever it was.
"...Uh, what're you doing, Onii-sama?" Nanako asked in total confusion.
"I'M TRYING TO SAVE YOU, THAT'S WHAT I'M DOING!!!" Souji snapped back, glancing over his shoulder. He let out a high-pitched shriek when he saw that the creature was already ganging up on them, with its frightening drill arm swirling around in a rotating motion. It let out a loud grunt as it swung once, Souji barely dodging by bending his head over just in time. The small holes on the creature's helmet changed from emitting a warm green light to a deadly red light. It certainly didn't seem happen with the current situation.
"O-ONII-SAMA...STOP!!! HE'S NOT GOING TO HURT ME!!! HE'S MY NEW PET!!!" Nanako shouted.
Souji froze in his tracks, and the bulky beast came to a complete stop as well. "...What did you just say?" Souji asked, giving his sister an incredulous look. He could feel the monster's heavy breathing upon his back, and it took all his will power to keep himself from running off again.
Nanako smiled. "His name is Mr. Bubbles!!!"
Souji looked over at the ferocious monstrosity standing right behind him. "...M-Mr. Bubbles?"
Nanako nodded. Sighing, Souji placed Nanako back onto the ground, and he began to walk away.
"Where are you going, Onii-sama?" Nanako asked.
"I'm going to Yosuke's house," Souji replied sullenly, "I need to let him know that the drugs don't work..."
"...?"
