Set during True Blood season 4, episode 8.
Eric and Sookie looked in wonder at the snow-covered forest that had suddenly replaced Sookie's bathroom. They were surrounded by enormous trees whose bare branches entwined overhead, forming an intricate canopy that still let starlight and moonlight through to illuminate the clearing. A simple wrought-iron lamppost added its warm light to the scene as well, the faintest reminder of civilization in the otherwise wild scene. And directly in front of them was a bed. A bed that appeared to be built of entwined tree branches and covered with furs, but a bed nonetheless. Even in her intoxicated state, Sookie thought this was...peculiar.
"Why is there a bed?" she asked, puzzled.
"Can we make love in it?" replied Eric, enthralled.
Yes. Eric's question, unlike Sookie's, was one they had the means to answer. They could. And they did. The little forest clearing was their little paradise for the moment—silent, serene, and with nothing to distract them from one another.
Neither was quite sure how long they had been there when they were startled by the snap of a twig, a gasp, and the dull crunch of several things falling into the snow. They looked up into the face of an intruder who was clearly as shocked to see them as they were to see him. Considering that the intruder had goat legs and tiny curly horns poking through his curly hair, that was saying something. His mouth was open in a shocked "o" as he tried to process what he had just stumbled across. The crunch of snow they had heard was due to several carefully wrapped parcels falling from his hands in shock, although he had managed to keep hold of his snow-covered umbrella, which he was now clutching with both hands. He shifted nervously from hoof to hoof as the three stared at each other in shock and confusion.
After a moment, his brain seemed to register that he was staring at a naked couple in bed. His face flushed pink as he hastily turned away, snatching his parcels from the ground and offering a jumbled apology as he fled back into the woods. As he skittered away, Eric's keen ears heard him mutter to himself something about "Spare Oom" and declining standards of modesty. Silence fell over the forest once more.
Eric finally turned back to Sookie and spoke hesitantly. "Maybe we shouldn't have made love in it?"
