She sat by the end of the table, looking at the four men spread out on either side of the table. They didn't need to do this for her. She hadn't asked for it. They had come to her, telling her the truth about what she already knew deep inside.
"I know it's hard. Do you need another drink first?" Kevin asked.
"No, I'm texting him now," she answered.
"We're with you, Dinah," Sami sent her a smile.
She managed to smile back before typing a message to her boyfriend Baron.
"Where are you?"
She blew out a breath and raised her eyes to see all four of them staring at her. They were waiting anxiously like she was. The answer came a minute later.
"I'm out with my friends. I already told you that."
She read it out loud and they all shook their heads.
"He's lying," Braun said.
"I know," she said.
"You deserve better, darling," Finn said.
She nodded. She knew he was right. She deserved better. Way better. She typed out another message.
"Which friends?"
This was the hard one. If he kept the lie up that he had no idea she knew about, he would fail in his answer. If he for some reason hadn't been lying, other names would come through. His answer came quickly and she sighed as she read it.
"Braun, Kevin, Sami and Finn."
He was cheating on her. With who and why didn't matter. They were done.
"Okay, time for a selfie, guys," she said.
She turned around in her chair and held her phone up. The four men leaned over the table to make sure all of them were in the shot. She took the picture and sent it right away.
"I can just imagine his face right now," Finn giggled.
Not even half a minute went by before Kevin's phone went off.
"Guess who," he smirked before picking up. "Baron. What a surprise."
"Tell me you're not with Dinah right now! Tell me she fucking photoshopped that picture!" Baron yelled.
"I could do that but then I would be lying," Kevin said.
"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" Baron yelled.
Braun snatched the phone from Kevin's hand.
"You brought this on yourself, idiot," he said. "Enjoy your single life."
"Put her on the phone," Baron pleaded.
"She doesn't wanna talk to you," Braun said.
"Please!" Baron begged.
"Tell him to go fuck himself!" She raised her voice.
"I think you heard her," Braun chuckled. "But in case you didn't, go fuck yourself."
"And you can start looking for new friends too!" Finn yelled.
"Just hang up on the idiot," Sami sighed.
Braun hung up and handed Kevin his phone back. Dinah's phone started ringing right away. She sighed, hit the red button and turned off her phone completely before looking at Kevin.
"I believe you said something about another drink," she said.
"Coming right up, my lady," he said.
"Get drunk, darling. You know you're safe with us. You're gonna crash in my guest room tonight no matter what," Finn said.
"Thanks," she said.
"That's what friends are for," Sami said.
