Death to Life
Disclaimer: I don't own any of them but the versions that live in my head. Kishimoto-sensei is a genius in my mind.

Life to Death. The supposed cycle all living things go through, though at the moment it seemed more like life just…stopped at death. He looked down at the small form in his arms. Chubby cheeks. A few strands of wispy blonde hair. Bright blue eyes staring back. And a body growing colder by the hour. Death. It always looked him back in the face, even in this small body. But yet, he couldn't help to stare back as if daring it to ever clam himself.
He lifted his free hand, ignoring the fact it was still shaking, and slowly removed the senbon sticking from the babies heart. Having tainted the metal with the strongest poison he had, he just hoped the death had been quick. Too quick for the young one to feel anything. It was the politics to blame and he knew this. Due to them, he had been ordered to assassinate…no…Kill the family no matter the age. Fuck politics! If he ever became the Hokage he would make sure to change them. Never again should the innocent be the ones to suffer for the great schemes politics govern.
Running his shaking fingers down the baby's chest, he wiped the small amount of blood weeping there in place of tears and used it to write his sorrows along the young's forehead. It was almost ironic how he stood there holding the dead kid of another when he himself was destined to be a father.
Death to Life? Maybe he could deal with that.
