Fang's POV
"You may kiss the bride" the priest declared. I turned and smiled at Max reaching up to lift the veil off her face.
She closed her eyes and smiled sweetly taking a deep breath. I did the same as I leaned down to kiss her.
As soon as our lips touched, applause errupted from the surrounding crowd.
Pulling away all I could see was the smiling faces of the ex-flock...
5 yrs later...
Max's POV
" Come on Heaven time to get up!" I called up the stairs.
Heaven skipped into the room and smiled, lighting up the whole room as only a Heaven smile can.
"Good morning Mummy!!" she sang bouncing into the room.
"Good morning sweetie!" I replied smiling at her.
"Good morning Daddy!!" she beamed up at Fang.
"Good morning Heaven you sleep alright?" Fang laughed picking her up and cradling her in his arms.
"Yes I did Daddy" she squirmed as Fang tickled her, squealing with laughter. I looked down at my toast smiling to myself thinking of how lucky I was.
...THUD!!!
All I could hear was Heaven's screaming and then silence. I looked up at Fang. He was looking shocked, probably mirroring my expression.
I looked down to his feet and almost screamed in fright.
My Heaven was lying on the floor at Fang's feet in a puddle of blood. Her blood, I thought with a jolt.
I leapt out of my seat and dashed to her. I slowly picked her up glaring at Fang.
We rushed her to the hospital hoping we were nopt too late for my Heaven.
