Ten Years Younger

Bobby glared at the energetic, young hunters scurrying in the dawn light, in preparation for the expected demon attack.

"Oh, to be ten years younger," he complained, climbing to his feet.

Dean laughed. "Ten years ago, I'd have still been in bed at this hour, hung over and curled up with someone warm and cuddly."

Bobby rolled his eyes and stalked off.

"You already seem a little dehydrated," frowned Castiel. He put a protective arm around Dean and pulled the hunter in close. "Does this help?" he asked in his usual growl.

Dean froze. "Yeah, it does," he smiled, relaxing.

Not a Morning Person

It was late morning and Castiel stumbled into the kitchen, all bleary eyes and untamed bed hair.

"Morning sunshine," Dean grinned with all the smug self-satisfaction of the habitual early riser. He poked a spatula at the pan of scrambled eggs on the stove and transferred them to Sam's waiting plate.

"So, I'm guessing you're hungry?" Dean chuckled, as he watched a brief scuffle over an attempt to wrest control of the breakfast.

"Dude, did you just growl at me?" Sam complained, sending a look for protection in Dean's direction.

"Cas, I think we need to introduce you to coffee."
