Short James S. Potter and Alice Longbottom II Oneshot

"Am I not beautiful anymore?" Alice asked herself quietly, looking in the mirror.

"What did you say?" James asked, coming into their bedroom.

"Do you not love me anymore?" She asked, tears coming to her eyes.

James frowned and stopped getting ready for bed. "Of course I love you. Why would you think I didn't?!" He asked, a little shocked.

"Our children are all in love. The way their other halves look at them… I miss that, James. When was the last time you looked at me like that? When was the last time you kissed me with so much passion? When was the last time we did it?" She turned to face her husband of 29 years. "I miss feeling so loved - so special."

James had moved closer as she spoke and was only inches away when she had turned around to face him. "Alice. I love you even more than the first time I said that to you. You may not be just as skinny as you were before having three kids, your hair may have grey roots and you have laugh lines on your face but every single feature of your body is so beautiful to me." He told her softly, carefully cupping her face.

"Thank you, I love you so much." She whispered before reaching up and kissing him. As she went to pull away, James held her close, deepening the kiss as he gently pushed her against the wall mirror. Alice kissed him back until the door opened.

"Eugh! Seriously… Mum! Dad!" Their youngest at 19 exclaimed in disgust. "Get a room!"

They pulled away laughing slightly.

"Sorry, hun." Alice blushed. James added, "And this is our room."
