I do not own the Powerpuff Girls.
I shouldn't be feeling this way about you. You're the enemy. [Companion to Taboo] BubblesButch
Enemy
Her thin arms are so frail I hardly feel it when she touches my chest. In fact, it kind of tickles.
What kind of smile does she think she's giving me? Why is she always looking at me like I'm at the center of her world? She probably doesn't know the signals she's sending me. It makes me want to tease her, or better yet corrupt her.
High pitched giggles make me wince, but I smirk instead.
I smack Brick's side while we joke around. I move from foot to foot to keep my mind off her staring at me. She's easily the most annoying Powerpuff because she's so helpless; however part of me thinks there's more to her. A part of me that thrives on instinct and fighting thinks that if I push her buttons I'll get a fight that I can never win.
I'd love to show anyone and everyone that's not the case.
She bats her long eyelashes as she says something inappropriate that makes her blush…
Bubbles' eyes are like the ocean on a clear day. They sparkle and light up just as easily as they deflate from a comment or two. She can never hide who she is or what she's feeling and for some reason that brings comfort to me.
There are too many people I know that I can never tell whether to trust or destroy.
I reach out and tug on her hair to make her mad. I laugh.
Like a pale spun gold, she twirls her hair around her fingers. It's usually up in two childish pigtails, but she looks better with it down. She looks like a woman who's been around the block.
Blondes have never interested me before, but I can see how this one could wrap me in her little fingers.
I pull her closer to my body. I can easily wrap my arms around her slender waist two maybe three times because she's so skinny.
"What do you think you're looking at, baby girl?" I whisper. "Don't you know better than to flirt with the enemy?"
Bubbles gazes away coyly, "but we don't really have to be enemies… do we?"
"Hm… We can be anything you want to be." I meet her eager full lips. They look like one of those Bratz Barbie doll lips. So irresistible…
I meet her gaze head on. Her light little smirk that makes me know she's thinking along the same lines as me. It's going to be hard, maybe even unbearable, but I'm up for the challenge. Screw what we're "supposed" to do.
"I'm going to take off." I announce.
Brick smirks. "See a girl you like?" I laugh as I walk away.
After all, we're not little kids anymore. There's no reason we can't be more than just enemies.
