Gray x Lucy Short
(Fateful Encounter… Again Sequel)

Lucy stared at him, waiting. Gray sighed for what Lucy figures is the 11th time; his eyes glued to the beer he's holding. Lucy rolled her eyes – her patience eroding. "Well?" the celestial mage managed to break the irritating silence between them.
Gray guzzled the beer, sighed for the 12th time, and opened another bottle. Lucy slapped the bottle from his hand where it shattered beside him on the floor. "What the fuck Gray!"
"Sorry," he muttered under his breath, eyes now glued to the vacant seat in front of him. The rest of their guild mates were now staring at them and Lucy's about to murder him but he doesn't give a damn. He's not himself today…
"You said you're gonna tell me something very important," the celestial mage cried. "For 15 minutes you haven't said a word, gulped down 6 beers and sighed for 12 times while I'm patiently waiting for that something veeeery important when I'm supposed to be writing my manuscript!"
The usually sweet Lucy is now blushing with irritation at the ice mage. She sighed heavily and turned. "I'm going."
Gray opened another bottle of beer and drank half of it. "I love you…" he mumbled.
Lucy turned abruptly and stared at his flushed face. "What was that?"
It was now Gray's turn to roll his eyes. "You ain't listening." He muttered.
Lucy sighed and run her fingers through her hair. "You know what Gray?"
Gray looked at her without turning his head. Lucy put her right hand on the table and moved closer to Gray. "Whatever," she whispered. The celestial mage turned, and stormed out the door.
Natsu went to where Gray is sitting and stared at the ice mage with disbelief. "You suck, man."
Gray finished off his beer and looked at the door where Lucy disappeared.
