A Mistake From Birth
By Jilliane Ho - kittyninja125 -
.
Through the eyes of a twin,
Life is always difficult.
Always compared, always expected,
But never thanked as a result.
.
They called us the "Twins of Misfortune"
Thinking we were a mistake.
It hurt, of course, all the time;
Our lives felt as if they were fake.
.
Through the eyes of a twin,
The world is such a cruel place.
He was left for dead, in a tower's chamber
With no more than a small room's space.
.
And away from him, I was thrown
Onto the floor, stories below him.
Left in a pile of lifeless bodies
Where the light is nothing but dim.
.
My brother, oh brother,
I wish you were here.
I really don't want you
To disappear.
.
If only we weren't born
As twins of the same mother.
Now we'll both die here,
And I won't be with my brother.
.
Through the eyes of a twin,
Our existence is sin.
And there's no going back,
Until our existence turns black.
.
.
A/N: This was a poem that I was going to enter into a contest on DeviantART, like... I don't even know, half a year ago? A year ago? Too long ago.
Anyway. XD I hope you guys enjoy a bit of my angsty writing. XD
Yeah, and I couldn't figure out how to leave a space between each of the stanzas, so I just put some periods. :D Gotta love dem dots. XDD
