A/N: If any of you have ever gone over to Fictionpress nad looked me up, or
read my Behind reality, you'll know that supernatural is my thing. I may
not be very good at it, but I try. Blame too much Buffy and Charmed.
Anyway, this is my next offering. Reviews are appriciated, but you knew
that already didn't you? Enjoy-Kiera
Faith was standing in front of Jeff, but she had never looked less like Faith in her life. Not even when she was lying on a hospital bed dying. So she had the same colour eyes and the same hair, but she was different, he could tell. She was wearing black. A layered black skirt, and a black top with mesh sleeves. Her hair looked messy and choppy and she looked extremly pale, almost white. Her lips curled into a smile, and because the smile didn't reach her eyes, it scared him slightly.
"Fai."
"Th." she added and when he frowned she said it again. "Th. Fai-th."
"Where are we?" he asked.
"Here, and there. We're everywhere and yet, nowhere at all."
Her voice sounded strange. More rounded and precise. Her accent had almost disappeared and there was no emotion in her words.
"Somewhere only we know?" he asked and Faith nodded.
"Exactly. Somewhere they can't reach us. Where's there's nothing at all, yet....."
"Everything."
"Everything you need. If , you're looking for something that is. What are you looking for Jeff?"
That was an easy question, didn't everyone know the answer? Didn't everyone know what Jeff Hardy was searching for? The one thing he couldn't have.
"You." He replied. I"m looking for you, and here you are. I've found you."
"Where did you look?"
"Everywhere. I look everywhere for you Faith, and I couldn't find you."
"You mustn't have looked very hard Jeff, or you would of found me. Don't you care?"
Of course he cared. The women he loved died and he hadn't been there when she had. Death was so quick. One minute you where alive and the next you where gone. Except Faith wasn't really gone, she was here in front of him.
"Where did you go?" he asked her, his voice filled with sadness.
"Right here. I came here and I waited for you to find me. I was so lost for so long. I kept waiting for you and you never came."
"I couldn't find you."
She walked around him several times before stopping right in front of his face. "They say you should remember the last thing you say to everyone because it might be the last thing you ever say to them. What did you say to me? Do you remember?"
Try as he might, Jeff couldn't forget that night. He couldn't forget Nicole's phone call, the drive to the hospital and seeing her, knowing that was the end.
"I said, I'll miss you."
"And do you?"
"Yes."
The smile crept onto her face again, the cold, horrible smile that still left her eyes blank.
"You never said goodbye."
"I meant to."
She shook her head. "That doesnt help me now does it? I mean, I'm dead. Dead, dead, dead. In the ground. You put me there, remember? "
"Faith, I......"
"I nothing." Her voice loud. "You put me in the ground, you never said goodbye. Because of you I'm here, and you never came to look for me."
"Faith, not, that isn't true."
Now, she frowned. "I'll be watching."
Jeff sat bolt upright in bed. It was dark and the room was empty. But in the back of his mind, Faith was still there.
