Birthdays only come around once a year but not for my family. They extend our birthday for the whole week, meaning we don't have to go to school; we spend the week with our entire family. Cousins, aunties, uncles, grandparents ect.

We drove to the family home, the car ride was boring and I had my two brothers with me which made the car ride worse. I had my head phones in most of the time but when I didn't all the boys would do was complain, I felt like telling them to shut the fuck up but didn't because if I did I would get in trouble from my dad and I didn't need to be yelled at on my birthday.

As we got to the family home I jumped out of the car, the fresh air was great. I looked up it was great to see the house again, it was big and we each got out own room for the week. See my grandparents have 10 kids and their kids had kids so there are about 25 of the grandkids all up, we are a big family and a big family needs a big house.

I was about to walk through the door but was stopped by someone hugging me from the behind. I turned my head to see a blond head, it was Jack. Jack was the cousin I got along with the most; he's the same age as me and we are both 14. "Tori!" I said turning around and hugging him really tightly. With my family even if they are boys I treat them like I would a girl because they are my family and I love them.
"Fanny, your hair is more frizzy then normal" Tori joked returning the hug. As we parted from the hug, I saw someone I didn't know, someone who wasn't in my family. He had black hair, was my height and looked to be my age. "Yo Patton, there's someone I want you to meet" Tori yelled at the boy who seemed to be walking towards us. "Fanny Patton, Patton Fanny" I just glared at him. Great so this random guy is here, I'm going to be acting nice to everyone else but him. What a fantastic birthday this was going to be.
"Yeah, hi" I said while waving him off and walking inside.

It took me around about 30 minutes to say hello to everyone then there was the receiving from all the gifts; I mostly got money and some perfume that I would never use. I thanked everyone then walked to my room while rolling my eyes being nice was so much work.

I opened the door and jumped on the bed, gathering all my money and putting it in my purse. "Knock, knock. Hey birthday girl how's it going?" Tori said while walking into the room, not waiting for me to respond. "Look I know I didn't get you anything but I decided that I would take you out to the movies tomorrow and you can't say no" Tori looked super excited.
"Sure, it's not like it's going to do me any harm" I said while getting off the bed and walked over to Tori and played with his fringe that covered most of his face.
"Oh and fanny be nice to Patton please" I can't believe what I heard, be nice to someone I don't know and let alone a boy. I didn't respond, I walked out the room and slammed the door behind me. Tori of all people knows, how much I hate boys and he wants me to be nice to one. What's the world coming to?
