Trish gripped tightly to the porcelain cup before she handed it to the red head sitting on the edge of her pink bed. It was late and she was thankful that it wasn't a murderer at her door at three a.m. but Amy instead. The relief didn't last long because once Trish realised that Amy was crying on her doorstep she sort of wished it had been some maniac. Inviting her inside they ended up where they are now, with a hot beverage with a dash of comfort.
Amy sighed and shifted her weight on the mattress. She wasn't sure why she decided that it was best to rush to Trish at this hour but it really was the only thing that felt right to her at all. Now sitting here beside her she felt herself smile as Trish held her hand rubbing her thumb on hers. "Thank you for being my best friend." She said, smiling back at the blonde woman beside her.
This was the first time they'd been in the same room for a long time, after leaving the company it didn't seem they had much time to see each other at all even if they were best friends. Trish moved to face her before she gently spoke to her. "What's the matter?"
The punk rocker seemed hesitant to speak but Trish knew she had come here to vent and she didn't mind, after all what were friends for. Poking the stray hair from her face and behind her left ear Trish listened as Amy told the story of her latest brake up, this time from her fellow punk rocker.
She handed her a pillow and wiped the tear away that settled on her defined jaw-line. Trish hated seeing her like this, she had been there through Adam, Matt and now she would have another one of Amy's break ups under her belt. "We're just not working out." Amy told her, pulling Trish out from her our personal thoughts on the subject.
Hearing the water running in the background Trish remembered how she had left it on to heat it up. She got up and wetted down a face cloth before returning to press it onto Amy's puffy face. "It's going to be ok Chica." It really did break Trish's heart in two to see Amy in this kind of state. She had seen this so many times before, her going through all these men who didn't love her…who couldn't love her, not like she did anyway. Trish wasn't sure exactly how long she had been in love with Amy, all she did know was that she loved her so much that she couldn't seem to shake her from her thoughts even when she was with her own husband.
"And I just feel like I'm loosing everything. I lost wrestling when I broke up with Adam and now I'm loosing my music with Shane…" Amy confessed to her, Trish couldn't even explain the hurt she felt for her, everything she had to gone through in her life. From living on the streets, to the stripping, to the struggle to get to the top of the wrestling world, to her downfall in the spotlight and now her music (the only thing that was always there for her) was falling apart to. Trish couldn't hold back anymore, all she really wanted to do was comfort her.
She stopped Amy's words and held her soft hands on either side of her face moving them in a gentle circular motion. Trish stared into the face of the most beautiful woman she had ever laid eyes on. Leaning in she placed her smooth lips on Amy's kissing her like she had always wanted to. Amy relaxed against her and eventually broke the kiss looking as confused as Trish had ever seen her. She didn't regret lacing her lips with her friends at all. It seemed she had waited forever for that one moment so how could she regret it all, years of frustration went into that kiss and she had gotten more passion out of it then a thousand kisses with her husband. Things were really must up, there had been so many men in both their lives but sometimes the best things are right in front of you.
