"Hey." Marceline whispers in my ear.

She wraps her cold arms around my waist.

I giggle,

"Hi."

We are on the top of a high hill in the outskirts of Candy Kingdom. From the hill we can see the whole kingdom, looking quite pretty surrounded by the night sky. It's a bright night, the moon glowing, the stars shining. In the heart of the kingdom, is the gigantic castle.

"How is my beautiful princess?" she says leaning her head into my shoulder.

"Good," I say, "Great now that I'm with my beautiful vampire.".

I tilt her head upwards and we face each other. She gives me a soft kiss.

"Thank you." she says after we pull away.

I laugh,

"For what?" I ask.

"For letting me love you. For making me feel that in the first time in my thousand years that I'm truly loved back." she says.

"Weird," I say, "I was going to thank you for the exact same thing."

We look onto the kingdom.

Marci puts her hand on my back.

"How do you feel about the announcement?" she asks.

"Pretty good, actually." I say, "Better than you'd think. If people don't accept me, us, if they don't, then why would I be concerned what they think? Better to know the patoots sooner than later."

"Princess!" Marci fake gasps, "They language!"

I laugh.

This afternoon, after months of preparation, thinking, pacing, worrying, I gave a speech this afternoon. It was televised, and I spoke to the whole Candy Kingdom. I told them that I loved Marci. And she loves me. I could hear the gasps in the audience. The shocked expressions. I simply stood tall, and strong. Finn and Jake smiled gave me thumbs up, they had known about me and Marci for a long time. I told the kingdom this was who I was, and that Marci made me happy, and that I wouldn't change. Then I casually read some important announcements, about the fundraiser kindly sponsored by Tree Trunks, and how to wish Bob the Banana Guard a well recovery of his broken leg. Then, I simply left the stage.

I look out into the kingdom and sigh,

"My kingdom, my wonderful gorgeous kingdom."
