Prologue
In Secrets of a Runaway, our hero, me, Brandon, likes a girl at my school, named Ashley. One day I get invited to her party after being introduced by my best friend, Jason.
One day while hanging out with Ashley, we visit Nikki, Ashley's best friend turned traitor, at her home. Nikki's surprised because she sees how close me and Ashley. Out of nowhere, the chief of police calls Ashley telling her that she and I are needed down at the station. Nikki goes with us. She goes with us because she's curious and suspects something. After the whole mess between us and the police, they go back to Nikki's house, Nikki is frustrated because Ashley and I wouldn't giver her any information at the station. So when we get home, Nikki forces me o tell her, but she doesn't like what she finds out.
That same night, Jason and Ashley come to my house to warn me that the military was coming to get me. I get my parents and we all go to Ashley's house, including Jason. My parents and I hide at Ashley's house when the military come knocking at the door looking for me, and Ashley lies o protect me. I leave shortly after the military leave. Ashley, against her father's wishes, goes with me due to the fact that she's starting to fall in love with me.
As we begin our quest, we go to Nikki's house based on a hunch. The hunch was right. It was Nikki who sold me out. We sneak into Nikki's house and when Nikki sees me, she's terrified because of the promise I made to her. Our conversation is interrupted and we take off, heading to the cabin that my family owns. Ashley's in shock because during our escape from Nikki's house, she distracts the military men by kicking of them in the balls.
Once we get there, Ashley threatens to expose my secret to the world. So to protect my secret, I giver her to the keys to the car we jacked but she doesn't get far because the military followed us. We get out of there as fast as we can, but as we leave I get shot with a tranquilizer dart with a tracker.
After we lose the military, I hotwire a car and we drive to my sister's town, She picks us up and takes us back to her apartment. I wake up hours later on my sister's couch with Ashley sleep near me. My sister and Ashley are happy that I'm awake. Hailie, my sister, breaks up with her boyfriend to help me and Ashley. Chad, Hailie's now ex-boyfriend, is pissed and leaves. We quickly get out of the apartment only to be stopped and surrounded by the military. We beat them up and head back to Metrolopolis. When we get there, we kidnap Nikki and we go to Jason's house, where we get the tracker out of my arm. Before we can get out of Jason's house, we are surrounded by military men again, but this time we confronted by a captain. While we're talking to the captain, Chad kidnaps Hailie and heads to a cabin in the mountains.
After we get away from the military, and Nikki's taken back home by the military, we go after Chad so that we can save Hailie. Once we save her and beat the military for a third time, we go to Washington to talk with the President, which turned out to be a complete failure and waste of time. We decide to go back to Metrolopolis. Hailie and I sneak inside of Nikki's house and bring Nikki out.
Once Nikki was brought out of her house, we head to Mexico. We don't stay in Mexico for long to due to us being attacked and having our lives saved, Nikki's as well, by three teenage Brazilian brothers. We stay in Brazil, where they took us, for a little while. Our stay in was interrupted by the military. The Brazilian brothers and Alexa, one of the Brazilian brother's girlfriends, save the four of us again and we head back to the United States.
