Draco walked down to the Great Hall for lunch. He was on his way to the library, his bookbag at his side, when he thought he'd stop in for a quick snack. He looked at the feast on the Slytherin table looking for something to catch his eye. Finally he saw it, a large basket of green apples near to Pansy.

"Hey Draco," she said as she looked up from her sandwich.

"Pansy," he said shortly. All he was focused on were the green apples.

He reached his hand out for one of the green fruit when Crabbe and Goyle suddenly ran into the Great Hall and grabbed the basket.

"Hey Draco, Greg and I need this for an experiment," Vincent said before Draco could even say anything. They spirited away with the basket between them.

Draco fumed before plonking unhappily beside Pansy. She looked at him strangely, "What's wrong with you?"

Draco just turned and said sourly, "They stole all the apples."

Pansy raised an eyebrow and then reached into her bag at her side. "You mean this?" she asked as she held out a green apple to him. "I took it up to eat later, but you can have it since you're so depressed."

Draco's eyes lit up as he took the glorious apple from the Slytherin girl. "Oh Pansy, I could kiss you," Draco said, leaning near to her.

Pansy frowned and pushed him back, "As nice as that is, I'll pass."

Draco still planted a slobbery kiss on his cheek. Pansy was reminded of their many days at Malfoy Manor raiding the trees in his backyard. Draco had always had a thing for green apples.

Draco didn't care if anyone saw his display of affection to the Slytherin girl. All that mattered was him and this lovely green apple. He smiled at her as he took a large, crunchy bite.
