A/N: Something I just thought of. I know it's not Christmas. This writing style was fun. It's different.

Quick translation notes. There aren't many.

Hyvää huomenta, Kulta (Finish) = Good Morning, Sweetheart (Darling is also suitable)

Ber, nej! Det gör ont! Det gör ont och det är ditt fel! Släpp ner mig! (Swedish) = Ber, no! It hurts, it hurts and it's your fault! Put me down!

Peter is wondering what is wrong with Mama. He's acting strangely.

Mama is stumbling around, wearing no pants—just a red and white Santa shirt and hat (and some boxers)—and can't seem to sit anywhere comfortably.

It's time to open Christmas presents and all Mama does is shuffle around the kitchen, trying to make hot chocolate. Peter sits at the kitchen counter in his pajamas, observing this strange behavior. He wonders where Papa is. He hasn't come out of the room yet, and it's already nine in the morning! Two whole hours after Peter wanted to open presents.

Mama keeps making weird little squeaks when he moves too much. And then he rubs his lower back, glances at Peter and then tries to continue making the cocoa without looking strangely.

Finally Mama says something in Finnish, which Peter is just starting to learn, about presents and his voice sounds scratchy and sore. Peter suggests some cough drops and Mama's eyes widen to saucers. He gives a weak smile and ruffles Peter's hair. Then he shouts across the house to Papa.

Peter has never heard Mama shout for Papa. Or shout at all.

He asks if that hurt Mama's throat. The answer is no.

Mama shouts again, in more complicated Finnish, to Papa. Papa finally comes into the kitchen, fully dressed and showered. Mama glares at clean Papa and then kisses him on the cheek with a hyvää huomenta, Kulta.

Papa tells Peter to take the tray of hot chocolate to the couch and the tree, so they can start on their presents. Peter jumps of the stool and follows orders. He comes back to the kitchen and Papa and Mama are talking quietly in Swedish. Papa says something Peter doesn't understand and sweeps Mama up.

Mama squeaks, "Ber, nej! Det gör ont! Det gör ont och det är ditt fel! Släpp ner mig!" but he is smiling and he kisses Papa on the lips.

They all sit down around the tree. Peter smiles because his family is wonderful.

He still wonders why Mama is wearing no pants.

A/N: Review and Sealand gets more presents XD
