The Origins of Gaia Online
Well, it begins long ago when Lanzer worked on his banana plantation. He was picking bananas when a coconut was hurled with tremendous force at him. He looked to see who it was, but when he didn't find the culprit he went back to work. This happened again and again over the course of the next few days. Finally, he grew so angry that he wrote letters of angry protest to the UN. They replied by giving him a manga to read. No one knows what one, but he grew so addicted to anime that he let his bananas rot. Lanzer realized that his main source of income was now gone and he could not afford anymore mangas. So he wrote letters of protest to the People's Republic of China, even though he should have written it to Japan. They sent him a plane ticket to Cameroon where he would become inspired to become a chef. Upon returning from Cameroon he built and opened a restaurant where his banana plantation was. He called it "The Rotting Banana." It was doing well until someone hurled a coconut through the window. He wasted no time and climbed to the roof to find the culprit. He could not find him so he tore off shingles and started throwing them all over the place. As he was tearing up the shingles, he noticed writing on the roof beams. They were the instructions to create Gaia Online. Every single detail was written down. Even the dates when he should conduct major makeovers of the site were written. The restaurant still stands, only barely though. Lanzer has neglected it and left it to sit in the tropical climate needed for banana growth. He never returns to the restaurant since he had rewritten the instructions and saved them on Microsoft Word.
