A/N: Just some random quote a friend sent me that I turned into a fic. I wanted to try this writing style (just to experiment), so it seemed handy to use it. This is a one-sided 8627 and one-sided 5986. After you read it, tell me what you think...?
LOVE is like a stapler pin.
Easy to attach...
"I'll save Haru as if I were to die!"
Haru watched in amazement as the boy she had just tried to hit earlier with a hockey stick jumped into the river to save her life. His eyes, burning with passion.
"Hold on to me!" he said, cradling her in his arms, holding her so close to his chest she could almost hear his heartbeat. Almost, because right now Haru's pounding heart was drowning every sound. W-Why? But Haru knew the reason, because she was smart.
She had just fallen inlove.
Hard to detach...
"Geez... Still pinning after Sawada? How many years has it been Haru? 10 years?"
"Haru can't help it! Haru loves only Tsuna-san!"
"I almost feel sorry for Gokudera,"
"H-Hahi! Did you say something Hana-san?"
Hana sighed. The girl was clearly hopeless. "It's nothing."
Worst is when you are finally able to detach it...
"I'm sorry...Haru"
And just like that, Haru knew, no need for Tsuna to explain anything. She didn't need that. She knew this day would come. Knew, but persistently tried to deny it, because after all, a battle is only lost when you give up, right? She should have given up a long time ago, but...why is it so damn hard?
She forced a smile and prayed that her voice don't quaver. It still did.
"D-Don't be like that Tsuna-san! Haru is happy for you two!"
The Vongola Boss peered into Haru but the girl's bangs had hidden her eyes, and the tears that was starting to form on them.
In one fluid motion, Haru hugged the brunette clinging closely to him, knowing this would be the last time. Tsuna felt hot tears wet his cheeks as Haru buried her face on his shoulders, sobbing quietly. "T-These are tears of happiness Tsuna-san!" she said. "Congratulations on your engagement!"
But she was not fooling anyone. Not him. Not herself.
"Haru," he said, "Kyoko wants you to..." he trailed off, unable to continue anymore.
Haru bit her lips to stifle the sob that was welling up on her. It was so unfair. She was hurting, hurting because of Tsuna-san, but she still can't deny him. She pushed off herself from him to face him, a bittersweet smile on her face. "It's okay Tsuna-san," she said.
"...I'll be her bridesmaid."
...it leaves the paper...
Gokudera watched as Haru laugh with the other girls. Her laughs were fake and her eyes...empty. Something was not right. If she wants to cry, stupid woman should just cry. There should be a limit to being strong, and bottling it all in. It would be good if she let some of those emotions out. Chrome who was rooming with Haru had told him that she hadn't seen or heard Haru cry. Not even once.
She was just like the Baseball Freak, keeping it all inside. Why is he attracted to these kinds of idiots? First his bestfriend, and now the girl he likes...
He doesn't know if he's the only once who noticed it but Haru closed her eyes when the Judaime and his wife said their vows, her hands unconsciously curling to her chest. And when they kissed, Haru looked like she would break.
Although she pretends that everything is alright, he knows.
"You alright, woman?"
Haru looked at him, and gave a smile that didn't reach her eyes. He didn't know it yet, but for the years to come Haru's smile would always be like that from now on. Empty.
"Of course."
DAMAGED.
Nothing would ever be the same again.
A/N: Sort of a "what-if Haru-never-got-over-Tsuna" situation. Read and Review please TwT
