A/N: I know it's short and doesn't make much sense but hey - I have
writer's block. Gimme a break! :P Happy Holidays to all of you! I hope you
all had a fun, safe celebration!

Harry Senate clutched the small jewelry box in his hand and stared at her front door. He smiled, hoping she wouldn't think he was psychotic and that he'd stalked her. He'd moved to Florida to find her and now that he did, he'd make sure he'd never lose her again. He knocked on the door, beside the reef and waited. Shifting his weight from one foot to the other made him more nervous. Finally, he spotted a figure running down the stairs and then came up to look out the door's window. Her eyes widened and she smiled as she gladly opened the door.
"Harry?" She breathed, gazing at him as if she wasn't sure he was really there.
"Hi, Lauren," he smiled and stepped towards her. They shared a hug and she welcomed him inside. Her home was warm and peaceful. It was like a reflection of her. He took his coat off and set it on the coat rack, but not before taking out the jewelry box from its pocket.
"What are you doing here?" she asked.
They went into the living room where a cackling fire met them. They sat side by side on the couch and Harry looked into her eyes. He'd missed them, "I came to see you."
"You came all this way for me?" Shock colored her face with a tint of flattery.
"Yeah. I know it sounds crazy, but, Lauren, there's something I want to tell you," he replied, taking her hand, "I miss you so much. I've missed you since you left. Even before that. And I want you to know that I want to give us a second chance. I know if you don't want to, I will have come here for nothing, but if I never did, I'd always wonder."
Tears threatened to spill over her cheeks and she smiled, "Oh, Harry, I've missed you, too." She held his hand tighter, "I still love you."
The words built a smile on Harry's face and he fumbled to grab the jewelry box, "I'm glad you feel the same way. Here," he handed it to her, "a little something for you."
She gasped and took the box. "B-before you open it, don't jump to conclusions," he laughed. She did too and then slowly revealed what was inside. A necklace lay with a charm. The charm was a heart and engraved on it was, "Forever And A Day: Laurry".
She giggled, "Laurry?"
"Yeah, it's like our names combined. I thought it sound better than Harren."
They laughed and she took it out of the small compartment, "It's beautiful. Thank you!"
Harry looked down at his other pocket and pulled out that box as well, opening it before she could notice it in his hand, "Now you can jump to conclusions."
Shock took her gasp from her mouth and she stared at the ring in front of her. She watched as he got down on one knee and took her left hand, "Lauren, will you marry me?"
Thoughts rushed through her mind. Spend the rest of her life with the man she'd loved for so long or tell him they could be just friends and mention the attempted engagement as a joke?
"Yes, Harry, I'll marry you."
He quickly took the ring and slid it onto her finger. Perfect fit. They admired it and shared a kiss; their first in a long time.
As the night went on, they watched the fire in the chimney die down.
"Merry Christmas, Harry," she whispered.
"Merry Christmas, Lauren."
