Hey guys! I really had to write another Rush fic, which I'm playing to do multiple chapters for. It starts at the end of 2x10 and goes AU from there. I might incorporate a few things from future episodes if I like them but mostly it's going to be my own story. By the way, I absolutely adore MichaelxStella and I can't find any fics on them so I've decided to start one!

I'm neck deep in school work at the moment with the end of term coming up so I'm not entirely sure when the next chapter will be up, but it will defiantly come. Please excuse the bad grammar and Review for Me!

"I want you to be with me."

The words cut through her like a flying knife, boomeranging back into her skin, slashing, cutting deeper and deeper with every silver flick. Her palms felt hot and sweaty.

The world suddenly felt smaller and bigger all at once. Stella could see the grey-blue water ripping lazy waves behind Michael as he watched her, waiting for her to reply.

"I can't help it," he said straight away.

"Michael-"

"Yeah well I can't."

It wasn't supposed to be like this. It was never to be like this. Just a few drinks, a bit of hot heated sex and they'd be finished of each other eventually. It wasn't meant to lead to this.

Stella could see the pleading in Michael's eyes, a defeated look as if he'd finally given up on fighting. She swallowed hard. He was begging her to say he felt the same. But she couldn't, she couldn't bring herself to say it.

"Yeah well, I'm sorry Michael."

Stella turned away, placing her hand over her eyes trying to block out the look on Michael's face, knowing the rejection was going to scar him badly.

She kept walking, forcing herself to keep looking forward. She was doing the right thing. She didn't want this.

Then why was it hurting so much? Why did she feel guilty?

Her legs felt like jelly, as if they might collapse beneath her and send her crashing to the ground. She kept walking, taking deep breaths, feeling the horrible bitterness inside her throat rising. She could feel the burning begin to rise inside her, screaming to come out.

She felt like a scared little girl again, running to her brother's room during the night when the lightening sounded too close to her bedroom window.

She pinched the bridge of her nose, the image of the black gun pressed to Michael's temple still visible to her.

"You alright Stella?" Stella looked up abruptly to Lawson's concerned face.

"Yeah I'm good," she replied.

"Alright, well I need you to secure the area; we're still looking for one more guy. Sharon's talking to some witnesses and me and Dom are move down that way," Lawson pointed towards Dom, who was heading down towards the shopping area on her right.

Stella tried to nod, open her mouth to speak but her throat was too dry. She felt sick. She began to walk away from Lawson, who stood watching her for a brief moment, looking both concerned and confused.

She barely took a few steps before a loud ringing bang echoed through the air and a powerful force hit her shoulder so hard that she stumbled, a sickening pain rippling through her entire arm. She heard screaming around her, swirling colours rushing around her in all directions.

A sudden pain shot up through her legs and felt a slicing pain deep in her stomach.

Her head felt too heavy for her body, the pain in her abdomen made her stop and lean forward slightly clutching her stomach, the pain in her shoulder doubled as she cried out. Her vision began to swim, shifting in and out of focus. She reached her other hand out to grab hold of something but all she felt was empty air.

She stumbled, her knees giving way. She could barely make out Sharon running towards her before her world was plunged into darkness.
