Iruka's hands shook while he read the letter he found on Naruto's kitchen table,
'Was it worth it, Konoha?'
The small piece of paper fell to the ground, the same place the seventeen year old's body lay; gashes in his wrists the teenager slept for his final time in a pool of his own crimson blood.
"…Naruto," the blond's former teacher stood frozen for what felt like forever before he fell to the ground, hands covering his face which were quickly becoming wet with tears.
After a good hour or two of crying, the sad dolphin got up from his place on the floor and walked out of the apartment, locking the door behind him as the blond had neglected to do.
Iruka walked down to the Hokage's office to go break the news to Tsunade.
A knock on the door echoed throughout the small office and the Fifth woke up with a start, getting ready to possibly scream at whoever woke her up from her peaceful nap.
"Tsunade-sama…," Iruka peeked through the door to see Tsunade before walking all the way into the room, closing the door behind him and standing before her desk.
"What is it, Iruka?" The Hokage asked with concern laced throughout her voice; seeing the Chunin's face streaked with tears worried her.
"Naruto's….Naruto's dead," the brunette choked out before collapsing again, crying.
-Two Days Later-
Naruto's funeral was held on what a lot of people considered the worst day to hold a funeral for their 'Number One Hyperactive Knucklehead Ninja of Konoha', October tenth.
All of Naruto's friends showed up, close and distant. Those who chose to, spoke with tears in their eyes. After the hour long funeral, everyone left. All of them with a hole in their hearts where Naruto's place used to be.
All left but one. Iruka, the who had originally found the boy, stayed behind to see the six-foot deep hole be filled with dirt. It was a sad day. Iruka tried hard for what felt like the longest time to help the boy. He knew he was sad, but not that sad. Maybe he could've done something to help before all this happened…but it was too late now…way too late.
"Gomen…Naruto-kun…"

So sorry for not posting lately! This whole depression thing really has me by the neck…it'll go away though!
