Nepeta looks up from her chalk board and sets down her chalk. Equius watches the snarkey leader from nepetas side, his arms crossed. You can almost tast his unhappiness from taking orders from a low blood. Aradia looks up still grinning from ear to ear her, conversation with tavrose halting. The brown blood's head snaps up and he blushes slightly. You will never understand that boy. Feferi only grins looking a their 'leader' and giggles through her words, "oh don't be so crabby karkat! lighten up for glubs sake!" He simply snarls in her direction looking around at your messy bunch. "I CAN SEE THAT WE HAVE 10 PEOPLE IN THIS ROOM. IT JUST SO HAPPENS TO BE NIGHT, WHY ARENT TWO OF YOU ON PATROL!?" he yells at the group of you. "karkat, you never told us who's turn it was" you remind him after rolling your eyes. "WELL Y-YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN WHO'S TURN IT WAS" the tops of his ears are red and he looks on a chart "JOHN AND JADE GET YOUR ASSES OUT AND MOVING"
A small smile plays at your lips as you walk with john through the woods. "whats up jade" john asks surprised by a smile, especially at a time like this. "what? oh nothing. i just forgot how nice it is to be out on such a calm night" you sigh and smile wider. "yeah, it is really calm tonight" john muses aloud. You continue to walk around the borders you and your group set up.
"john" you wisper spinning your shot gun around and pointing it in the direction the sound you heard was produced. John's eyes widen and he nods grumbling and pulls out his hammer. You both stand there for a few agonizing moments before you hear a low chuckle. "show yourself you beast" you growl out your ears flattening. Yes ears, that raised a few questions when trying to put togeter a group that fights demons.
A figure steps out of the bushes, a smirk playing at the lips. "strider" you and john growl in unisisn. The smirk grew.
