Author's Note: Hello. I know it's been awhile since I've posted anything, but I've recently read some of my writing, and I've become inspired. *guilty grin* I'm going to really try to finish this piece, but in order to do that, I'll need reviews and much love. 3 I'm not a really big Romione shipper, but this little fic popped in my head and I just had to see what I could do with this. :3 I'll try to update as much as possible.
Warning: Will be sad. :c
Small Bump
Ron Bilius Weasely sat down in one of those uncomfortable plastic chairs in the waiting room of St. Mungo's. As the Healers wheeled Hermione down the hallway, he put his hands together and rested his elbows on his knees, his bones digging into his thighs. He wore a worried look on his face; his forehead clenched together tightly, creating small, crunched folds. A bead of sweat fell from his hairline and traveled carelessly down his face.
He wanted to move; he needed to get up and do something. He couldn't stand being here while his wife was back there by herself. She needed him and he wanted to go to her, but the Healers had forbidden it. He forced himself to stay still, controlling his feet with careful, precise movements. The muscles in his calves and back were strong and tense; stress radiated from his being.
Tears welled in his eyes and threatened to fall, but he quickly wiped them away with a brush of his hand. He didn't need to cry; he needed to be strong. For Hermione.
His dear sweet Hermione and his small, unborn child; he needed to be strong for both of them.
They didn't deserve this.
After all that had happened to them- the war, the pain, and the deaths- they didn't deserve this. It wasn't fair. Everything was supposed to be okay after all the pain and suffering.
But it's not okay.
A few tears raced down his cheeks and fell into his clenched fists and dirty jeans, creating small, wet spots that eventually faded. He didn't know what he would do if he lost either of them. They were his life. Even his son, who he hadn't even had the pleasure of meeting yet, was everything to him.
Tell me what you think about this. I really need you guys' feedback. :3
