Ten years have passed since his parents had died, ten years since he made a vow to get revenge, only ten years since he made a deal with a demon.
Ciel Phantomhive turned 20-years-old on this cold December day, though he didn't feel any different from being 19. He was still head of the family, but his fiancée, Elizabeth, was long gone due to death by fever. He grew lonely, but he would never let anyone know, even though they had noticed the slight smile he did have faded away over the years.
True he didn't love Elizabeth, but she was still his dear cousin whom he adored, and was betrothed to. Since her passing he grew apart from everyone, staying always near the manor.
Now that he was no longer the watch dog, since he was getting older, he just stayed home. He had gotten his revenge long ago, but when it came time to give up his soul, his demon had left without a word. So he had nothing to do but run a company, alone. Ever since Sebastian had left he felt empty. Even though he had Lizzie, who didnt die until years later, she couldnt fill the void in his heart that Sebastian left. Though his pride would never let him admit it he missed Sebastian more than anything, even more than he missed his parents.
Walking outside to the garden he sat down softly on a snow covered bench, setting his cane down softly to his side he looked down to his feet. He had learned to dress him self, with Tanaka's help, now that Sebastian was gone, but he could never get the shoes quite right. After he fastened the clips, he sighed. "This wouldve been easier if I learned from a young age." He said as he kicked at the snow.
"Indeed it wouldve been, Young Master, but you see even when you were younger your parents or Tanaka did it all." Said a voice from behind him.
Looking around, and finding no one Ciel rolled his eyes. " I was young I didn't have a say." He replied to the voice.
"You did, you were just to content to say anything." Snickered the voice lightly.
"You wouldn't know about content." Ciel scoffed back.
"Oh but,I do. I've seen it over the years. Except now, with you. You aren't content and you aren't happy, no not in the slightest. May I ask what has bothered my beloved master so?" The voice asked still not making theirselfs seen.
"Don't mock me with your 'beloved' talk. You didn't complete our conract!" Ciel raised his voice in frustration.
"You speak like you are sad about the contract, but your mind says differently." The voice said finally making theirself seen.
"My mind is true to what I speak. You left without my soul, you left it here with me at the manor, alone, and untouched, Sebastian." Ciel was furious now. How could the demon mock him, then call him bluff?
"Ah ah ah there it is." Sebastian said, drawing closer to his master. "You missed me Ciel." He added with a smirk.
"I said no such thing. What makes you think I missed you?" Ciel asked.
"You didn't have too, your mind and body speak for you." Sebastian replied softly wrapping his arms around Ciels abdomen. The boy had gotten taller over the time Sebastian's been gone, and he couldn't help but smile when he noticed. Ciel flinched at the touch, but never moved.
"Why did you leave me?" Ciel asked looking away.
"I hadn't had a soul in years, but I couldn't very well kill the one I learned to love now could I? I need you here with me to be happy." Sebastian replied, tightening his hold on the other male.
"I did miss you Sebastian." Ciel said, lifting his head up as he slowly wrapped his arms around the taller male.
Bringing his lips to the blue eyed male's for a quick kiss, Sebastian smiled. "I missed you too, Ciel."
