Alviss seemed to never understand me. His eyes shown like blue beacons around the room, his face was drawn and his emotions easily hid. I tried several times to catch his stare but it never quite seemed to rest on me, as it did the others. Was he still mad? I knew he couldn't be, He didn't hold grudges well, he seemed to feel indiferently about everyone. Does that include me? I knew I had hurt him terribly, but were we really at true indifference, after what we had?
I hoped deep down that we weren't.
Last night, late, me and him had gone down into the courtyard for a swim. I had asked a quiestion about the... tattoo he had. He had looked evilly angry and he lifted himself out of the water and left. I was then alone, struggling to make sence of the reaction. Why? Why had he been so secretive, sesative maybe? I now worried about us...
"He wants to see you. Go out into the hall." Bell had flown over silently while I was lost in thought. She now perched on my shoulder her wings fluttering only slightly. She atleast was beggining to trust me. I sat down my goblet and looked to my unfinished meal, hoping none of the others would notice. Standing up without making a rucus with the heavy chairs was dificult but I managed. Only Snow say me, and in her innocence she waved to me. I flashed a smile to her as I walked past Alviss out of the room.
The hall was a cold damp place. The large open windows led to a great veiw of the castle walls and yard. I sat up on one of these waiting patiently. Finnally, he stepped out into the hall.
"Goddammit." His fist slammed hard into one of the walls. I winced, his actions and words were sharp, even in a whisper. "Why can't this be easy." He rubbed his knuckle but there was obviously no pain to him.
"I am so sorry... I didn't know that... I didn't mean it-" I scambled for words but I didn't have to struggle for long. He bent down placing his lips ever-so-gently on mine but the held my hair pulling me close and crushing my mouth to his.
"I love you Ginta." These were the only words he spoke before he walked back into the dining hall. Maybe he did understand after all.
