Disclaimer: Unfortunately, I don't own anything
The glass flew like a sparkling bolt of lightning as it was hurled across the room. It shattered into a million tiny, glittering crystal pieces as it collided with the dark wood panelled wall and the spine tingling smash echoed in the parlour.
"YOU IDIOT!" Bellatrix Lestrange's cry was heard soon after, the tense atmosphere suddenly tipping over the edge into what was sure to be complete chaos. Rodolphus stumbled back, in shock from what he had just done, a hand clasped to his mouth to stop it from gaping, "Bella... I'm so-"
"Don't "Bella" me!" she shrieked, cutting him off. Before Rodolphus knew what was happening, Bellatrix had drawn her wand and thrown a curse towards him, grunting in the effort. He hit the deck, watching as the red shot flew overhead from his new position awkwardly sprawled across the floor.
"How /could/ you!" Bellatrix yelled, rushing to him and kicking in his ribs. She couldn't help the angry tears that stung her eyes like prickly thistles determined to make her look like a fool.
Violence was nothing new to Rod and neither was it a surprise that his wife would want to hurt him in such a way after what /she/ had done to /him/. He simply lay there, allowing Bellatrix to hurt him as she pleased, even kill him if she so fancied it, though he would not give her the satisfaction of knowing how much it impacted on his heart and of how it broke - shattered - into a million tiny pieces.
Reviews would be nice, if you can spare a few moments.
