Hey everyone. Enjoy!

Susan leaned against the railing, gazing at the night sky. She heard footsteps behind her, and she turned. She smiled faintly when she saw who it was.

"Edmund," she greeted. "What're you doing up?"

"I heard you come here, and couldn't sleep. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

Edmund raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure? We have been through some.. scarring experiences here."

But Susan shook her head. "My scars are healed. I have only scars from the few battles I've fought, and a few other things. But Aslan has helped me, and they no longer bother me. I feel peace. The real question is: are you okay?"

"I beg your pardon?"

"I worry about you, Ed."

"Not about Lu and Peter?"

"Lucy hasn't had a horrible experience yet. And she does the same as me. I've talked to her. She feels peace. And Peter.. I don't know how her does it, but he manages. He feels peace as well. But you… I can still hear you scream from nightmares."

Edmund grimaced. "Sorry about that."

"There's no need to apologize. I was thinking. There is a way for the scars to not bother you anymore."

"Could you show me?" Edmund's breath caught in his throat. He couldn't let himself hope. Not yet.

"I can't help you. Aslan can."

"I've tried calling on Him."

"Really? What do you say?"

"I ask for His help."

"Ed.. There's more to it. You need to be able to talk to Him. Not just to ask for His help."

Edmund's shoulders slumped. "I don't know how to do that," he whispered.

"I could try to help you, if you like."

"Please."

"I can't put words in your mouth. Basically what I say summed up is: I tell Him about what's happened in my day, ask Him advice, listen for His voice, and if I need help I ask."

"And that helps?"

"Completely. If you have a relationship with Him, He can give you peace. And you won't be bothered by your scars."

Edmund thought this over. "Thank you, Su. I'm going to try that."

"You could try it right now," Susan offered.

Edmund nodded, and Susan started to walk away.

"I'll give you some privacy."

"Susan, wait."

Susan turned back to him.

"Thank you."

Susan simply smiled and nodded, continuing on to her room.

Edmund took a shaky breath, and said, "Aslan. I- I'm sorry that I've been distant lately. I've been only talking to You when I need help. And that's- that's not right. Please tell me what I need to do. Please help me. I…" Edmund trailed off, and with a wry smile, started telling Aslan about his day. "Today was an okay day…."

Edmund stayed there, talking with Aslan until the early hours of the morning.

And he felt peace.

No matter what happened to any of the Pevensies, they were never bothered, and always felt peace.
