Author's Note: Wow okay I've never made an author's note so I'm just gonna ramble a little bit about this story.

Okay so there was this gifset on Tumblr I once saw by Tumblr user doomslock, titled "SuperWho AU: Stairway to Heaven."

What can I say? I was a bit inspired. Enjoy!

It's been too long, since that touch of the angel.

It was a strange feeling, now that she remembered it. Almost like an unhealthy way to time travel. But it worked, at least. Amy and Rory Williams were reunited together, just like they should be. And they lived together for the longest of times.

"Until death do us part."

She never believed that part would be so literal. They were in separate hospital beds, and both of their conditions weren't so good. Eventually, tired with the weight of her life pushed on her heart, Amelia Pond closed her eyes.

The sound of beeping machines faded slowly, replaced by chirping birds.

Amy opened her eyes. She wasn't in the hospital room anymore. In front of her was the most beautiful garden. And she didn't feel like the age she was back in the hospital. More like the age she was when that Weeping Angel sent her back… The memory brought a pang of sadness, but it only lasted a moment. She was curious; of all the places she had seen with the Doctor and her husband, this place was by far the strangest, but it had a sense of familiarity lingering around her. Almost…pleasant.

Then another sound interrupted her thoughts—the sound of rustling wings. She spun around to see what it was; a man in a trench coat, with dark hair and impossibly blue eyes.

"Hello, Amelia," his voice was gruff but with a friendly tone.

It wasn't the fact that the odd man knew her name or the fact she could've sworn she saw a faint outline of wings behind the stranger's back, but it was the sense of familiarity she still felt from the place and even him that got her to ask where she was.

"Is this Heaven?"

The stranger gave a light chuckle. "Yes, it is."

That would explain the warm pleasantness from the place. Heaven, she realized as she glanced around, is a lot different than what she expected. Now, if only I could tell the Doctor and River about this…

Then the sense of wrongness clicked in, and she looked back at the stranger.

"Where's Rory?" She asked, a mixture of demand and worry laced in her voice.

"Amy!"

Amelia spun once again at the sound of her husband's voice, immediately enveloped in his embrace.

"I missed you; I missed you so much…"

They shared a long kiss.

She didn't count how long it lasted, but it felt like an eternity. Then they pulled away, and suddenly became aware once again of the stranger's presence. They both turned towards him. He was standing awkwardly now, staring at the ground near his own feet and trying his best not to interrupt.

"Oi, you," Amy said, and he looked up. "What's your name?"

"Castiel. I'm an angel of the Lord."
