The lights of the shack flickered and buzzed as the limit of their expense comes towards their end. The ex-empress growled as she raised her leg and broke a table, the wood shattering under her power. "Damn that wretched girl and that tasteless half-god!"

She threw a glass bottle and relished the sound of the shards clattering to the floor. "DAMN REIKO." She grabbed a chair and smashed it against the wall, landing on the table in pieces at the impact. She kneeled down and began to pound on the floor. "AND DAMN,"

Her knuckles collided against the hard floor.

"THAT,"

Continuing even after her knuckles began to bleed. She screaming to the top of her lungs.

"OSH-TEKK!"

She pounded the floor once more before sliding herself on the floor, tired and in anguish. Tears finally escaped her and she, after so long, cried.

"Damn it, damn it." No army, no true comrades, no love. Truly, she was alone.

Alone is all I will ever be. She thought. "Traitorous scum… How dare they… Betray me... " She wept as the lights to the shack finally dimmed into darkness. _

In the Outworld palace the Emperor held a meeting with Ermac and Reptile while the others tended to other tasks.

"Three months and no sign of Mileena."

Kotal Kahn shook his head. "This is not good." Ermac and Reptile glanced at each other. Reptile responded, "She has no more allies. The Tarkatan army was scattered and her only loyal subject is dead. We will find her and we will kill her." Reptile folded his hands in his lap as Ermac sat in a chair beside Kotal's desk. "No, I have hired Kitana to come capture Mileena. We must mend our relationship with Earthrealm and repair the damages Outworld has gone through." Ermac turned back in surprise and interjected with, "But we thought she was a revenant?"

"Special Forces last month were able to find some of the revenants and restore themselves; Kitana being one of them. I promised her an alliance and to help restore Edenia."

"Who else was brought back?" The Zaterra warrior asked.

"Jade, Kabal, and Smoke. They were unable to attain the others." "Jade? But she wasn't a revenant."

"They found her wandering outside of the Netherrealm. She seemed to have come back, possibly lost and was able to escape being a servant of Quan Chi." Koa'tal paused. "What troubles you Emperor?"

"Kitana seemed distant, contemplative when I told her of her mission. She seemed determined to capture her, but… She seemed to have been thinking of something else as well." "We will be ready for anything, Kotal Kahn."

Ermac bowed as well as Reptile and the Emperor thanked and dismissed them. The Emperor sighed as he looked outside. He prayed to the gods that he would not have to deal with another traitor, though he very much doubts Kitana would ever be a traitor.
