Cam's Bad Day

How did Cam end up in the rubble at the start of PRNS???

As Cam Watanabe climbed the last few stairs to the roof of the Wind Ninja Academy. He again wished his father, had not been so against installing elevators in the school. After a few moments to catch his breath, he unlocked and opened the door. Stepping out on to the roof, he walked over to where the weather monitoring equipment was. Seeing it knocked over on it's side, Cam sighed, and knelt down next to it. The anemometer was broken again, just as Cam had expected.

"Damn, I really wish the Air Ninjas would find something else to test their powers on."

Luckily having expected this, Cam had brought a replacement anemometer with him. He quickly unscrewed it from the mount, and installed the new one. After giving it a spin to test it out, he put his tools away and stood up. Cam turned to walk back to the door, when the wind suddenly picked up.

"That's strange." Cam frowned, looking around. It had been dead calm just a second ago. It had also gotten noticeably colder. A trip down to Ninja Ops was in order he decided. Cam had started walking again, towards the door, when he heard yells coming from down below. He made his way over to the edge and leaned over to take a look. His mouth dropped open in shock as he took in the scene below. The Wind Ninja Academy was under attack!

Cam dropped his bag of tools, and ran back to door.Wrenching it open, he ran threw it and headed down the first flight of stairs. Cam couldn't believe it, the first time he had a chance to show his father he was more than just a computer geek, and could fight, he was on the roof. He just hoped the fight wouldn't be over by the time he got down there.

Cam was about half way down when the whole building began to shake violently. "What now? Earthquake? This is just great!" He grabbed the railing to keep from falling. Something told Cam his day had just gotten a whole lot worse. Keeping a hold of the rail, he continued to make his way down. Stumbling to a halt on top the last flight of stairs, Cam stopped to catch his breath. Stopping there also saved his life, as a large piece of the ceiling fell inches away from him. Staring in shock at the piece of rubble that had just missed him, Cam never saw the smaller piece that didn't miss. It hit him and knocked him down the rest of the stairs and out cold. So it was that Cam missed the sight of his home being sucked up into the sky.

It was the sound of voices that woke Cam up. Opening his eyes and coughing, Cam looked around. He couldn't see much, just dust and rocks. Trying to move made some of the rocks fall, and Cam could hear the voices better. "Oh no, not them," Cam groaned. It was the three worst students in the school; Dustin,Shane and Tori. Cam wondered if something was playing a joke on him, just when he thought his day couldn't get any worse...

The End.
