Simple Drabble. I Haven't Posted In Awhile And Wanted To. Apologies This Wasn't Sooner.
Experimenting with short, sharp sentences and long lengthy lines.
Naiveness
Starfire stood at her best friend's door
A knock echoed around the hallway.
"Raven? It is I!"
The door opened -
Raven had little time to regard Starfire's presence, as she was pounced on by the elder alien - the strength at which she had pounced forcing them onto the carpeted floor. And then suddenly -
Starfire kissed her.
And her lips were on hers.
And her tongue was in her mouth.
It was wrong, Raven knew it.
But it felt SO right!
And then as quickly as it began -
It ended.
Starfire pulled back, breathing heavily, looking down at Raven, whose usually pale cheeks were flushed pink. The empath's lips were slightly swollen from the force of the kiss, but Starfire hardly regretted it.
Raven was in shock. She took several deep breaths, trying to calm herself. Starfire's face was still all too close - their noses almost touching - the Tameranian's beauty overwhelming. She paused, trying to come up with a way to ask what had just happened that wouldn't hurt Starfire's feelings.
"Huh?"
Raven almost smacked herself.
Fortunately, Starfire laughed.
"Oh, dearest Raven, you are filled with the naiveness!"
With that, she giggled, and departed -
Leaving a stunned, but considerably happier Raven in her wake.
