The Headmistress of Hogwarts pinched her nose.

"Luna, you can teach the students about Nargles, Blubbering Humpdingers and Crumple-Horned Snorkacks if you can prove to me that they exist, or even find someone else who's seen them before," she told her new Care of Magical Creatures professor, wondering what she had gotten herself into by accepting her for the post.

"They're Blibbering Humdingers, Hermione," Luna said absently, "and I know someone who can come by." She smiled. "He should be able to come by sometime this week; I'm sure he'd like to see you again."

"Your father doesn't count, Luna," Hermione warned; she had seen the man at several weddings so far, and had suffered through an utterly absurd conversation at Luna's own wedding.

"Oh, I didn't mean daddy," Luna said with a mischievous smile. "I'll let you know when he can come," she said, waving goodbye as she slipped out of the Headmistress' office.

A few days later a knock sounded on her door, and Hermione called to enter.

"Good day, mila moya," Viktor Krum grinned as he entered her office. Hermione's jaw dropped.

"I haff brought a Blibbering Humdinger for you," he said, setting the basket he carried on her desk, and Hermione snapped out of her shock just enough to peer into the basket. There lay a small creature with a blue hide and wide yellow eyes peering up at her. It had four furry ears, and a bit of drool seemed to be escaping its small mouth.

Slowly Hermione raised her head to look at the famous Seeker before her. "Really?" she squeaked, and his grin widened.

"Ah, mila moya, you are too inflexible sometimes," he said fondly. "Also, I haff heard that your flight instructor is retiring; vould you mind if I took the post?"

Hermione blinked at him owlishly. Somehow she felt that she had just been set up.
