The Yule Ball 1972

"Harry, dear, you need to come look at this!" Ginny called from the attic.

"What is it, love?" was the response

Ginny looked over the book in her hand, "A Journel of your mum's"

Harry came up the stairs quickly, "Oh?" he said, "anything interesting?"

"just this entry from her third year." she said handing the book over to harry.

The ball last night was amazing. I spent all night on the dance floor with Arthur Weasley! And when the ball was over, he kissed me! Full on right on the lips! I am so exited! Maybe we'll date! Maybe he'll take me to Hogsmead!

Harry chocked on his own saliva. "Oh, that's... uh... fascinating."

"That's ammunition." Ginny said with a gleam in her eye.

That night the whole family had dinner at the burrow.

Teddy was sleeping quietly but Victoir was wailing, when Harry and Arthur began a conversation about the yule ball.

"Why didn't you ask, Ginny?" he asked.

"She already had someone." harry stated simply, "by the way Ginny and I were cleaning out the attic at Godrics hollow, and we came across something, rather interesting." Harry said a little louder than necessary. Ginny stopped talking, with Molly and the other conversations died as well. "It seams that when you were a fourth year there was a ball. Who did you take to it?" Harry asked.

Arthur blushed, and mumbled something under his breath.

"What was that da? I didn't hear you."

"Lily Evans." he said a little louder.

The whole room burst out into laughter.

"So how long did that last?" Ginny asked politely.

"Four months."

At that they were all shocked.
