I had a secret,
But so did you.
I kept it untold,
Pure and true,
I didn't mean it,
Truly honest,
Just slipped out,

A simple kiss,
Could maybe solve this?
But truth is fair,
Pure with love and care.
I know you still do,
Take the words back,
Because they hurt both,

I let the tears slip out,
Falling to the ground.
You left me, Never turned to see,
What you had done to me.
I begged for you to come back,
But still no cutting slack,
I didn't see you anymore,
I let the tears spill out more.
Could you really stay away?
From somebody you loved always?
It didn't matter anymore,
Because my heart was worn sore.
I felt strong arms,
Warp around my wrists,
Holding me close,
Saying he loved me most.
Saying he didn't care,
About what I said,
He didn't want me to shed a tear.
Not for every year.
He held me close,
'I love you,' He said,
But it still hurt,
The pain in my chest.
For he was cold,
But still awfully warm,
Skin a pearly white,
Living forever more.
Did it matter anyway?
No I wouldn't play this game,
Not my heart,
Nor this way.
For true soul mates loved each other till death,
How he loved me, I didn't know,
But forever he will stand,
While I lay in the cold sand.
Death cannot touch him,
Him forever more,
It can touch me however,
But he said it will never.
The lies he told to keep me safe,
The secrets he holds in order for mere escape,
The secret I told, was the most valuable as all.
One that could get him killed once and for all.
'It didn't matter' he guessed my thoughts,
But the truth it did,
For this was his secret,
That I should have kept in the abyss,
For he was not human,
Not living,
Nor dead,
A vampire as he once said.
Vampire,
The word echoed in my mind,
But something as sweet as this,
Could not be a monster that was never missed,
He was mine,
One of my first valentines,
Forever young,
But still it is strung,
The letters together,
To form just one,
Something sweet and pure,
For he shall be a vampire, forever more.
