Author's Note: Hopefully you like this. I wrote it at two in the morning, so it's not that good, but there may be more... :) I do not own anything of Twilight, all rights go to Stephanie Meyer.

I turned to her faster than I ever thought possible, and if I were still human, my heart would have completely stopped beating.

She was beautiful, her hair, her eyes, the way her skin shimmered in the cracks of light peeking through the branches of the forest. She stood in a defiant posture, hands on her hips.

"Riley, so glad to see you," She said, her lips pulling back into a grin. "I thought you'd never wake up. But here you are, bold and brave."

Through the intense bloodlust that made my throat burn like fire, I swallowed carefully, my eyes snapping to every sound that escaped the shadows and darkness's of the trees around us. "Victoria?"

I'd heard her name a few times throughout my changing, but it seemed I had known her since I was a child. Victoria smirked and walked up to me slowly, placing her hand on my cheek gently. "Of course, Riley," She said, her voice light and girlish. "Now, get your game face on. We have hunting to do."

She was gone, having left me as quickly as she had come. But, I sensed her presence, her embrace, about half a mile away. I turned and, using my newest instincts, took off after Victoria. Soon, I was beside her. She looked over at me and smiled, as I turned back to make sure I wouldn't run into anything, although I was unsure if it would hurt me anyways.

"Stop." She said suddenly, and I felt her cold hands on my chest. I breathed deeply, but when I did, I knew why we had faltered. My eyes darkened, my lips pulled back into a snarl, and I struggled against Victoria toward the scent of human blood only meters in front of us.

"Riley, control yourself," She whispered into my ear, her hand resting protectively on my shoulder. "We won't get another chance at this. Now, you see the two?" She asked. I shuddered but turned to see the girl and boy walking down a path away from us. They both seemed a few years younger than I, maybe seventeen or eighteen. My pain increased, but I obeyed Victoria. I wouldn't have her angry with me.

She smiled and raised on her tiptoes and pressed her lips against mine, and as soon as I felt her smooth skin, I was responding with as much anger and strength I had in me. But, she pulled away after a second, leaving me gasping for air that I didn't even need.

"Your pick. Girl or boy?" Victoria asked me, leaning her head on my chest. I was still, glancing between my two victims.

"Girl." I said softly, the silkiness of my voice scaring me. She grinned and was gone, perched in one of the trees directly above them. I took a few steps forward hesitantly. Victoria crouched quietly, and, pounced like a lioness after a deer, had the boy pinned underneath her, her teeth sinking into the flesh at his neck. The boy screamed and so did the girl, who began to run away. But, I was ready.

With a final glance at Victoria, I ran toward the girl, reaching her quickly and roughly throwing her to the ground. An array of dirt and leaves covered her face, as I brought myself down onto my knees beside her. She yelled and aimed punches at my face, but they did no damage. I grabbed her jaw, hearing a sickening crack, and bent down, biting into the nape of her neck.

Blood. It was leaving her, entering me, but I needed more. I snarled and bit down harder, as Victoria came up behind me, running her fingers through my hair and hissing soft words into my ear.

"You know that I love you, Riley." She murmured, her teeth grazing my earlobe. I gasped, realizing that there was no more blood in the lifeless body that lay before me. I sat up and turned to Victoria. She paused before I pulled her toward me, kissing her ruthlessly.

"I'm yours, Riley," She whispered. "We're together forever."

I only hoped that this was the truth.
