Rocky's POV

I was at my pup house for the whole day. This morning I was rejected by Everest, and I have been crying in my pup house since then. I was really sad about it. Suddenly, I hear someone tapped on my pup house.

"Wh-who's-s th-ther-re?" I asked through my tears.

"It's Ryder. Why have you been crying all day? You have got me and the rest of the pups really worried!" he told me.

"Th-this mor-rning... I... I... I was rejec-cted by Ever-rest..." I told him and broke into tears again.

"Ooh... I am really sorry for that, buddy. But don't worry, you will find someone that will love you and you will love her." Ryder told trying to cheer me up but failed.

"Yeah, right... I will forever be alone..." I told him.

"Come on buddy... You got to get some fresh air. Go have a walk." he told me.

"Okay, okay..." I told and went out of my pup house going towards the forest for a walk.

I entered the woods and took a little walk. While I was in the forest, it had gone dark and the moon was in the sky. I looked at it with my teary eyes and I decided that I can calm myself by singing. I thought for a while, and I found the best song and started singing.

"Really nice singing Rocky!" I hear two voices from behind me.

I jumped, yelped scared and turned back. I saw Chase and Marshall looking at me.

"YOU SCARED THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF ME, WHY ARE YOU HERE?" I shouted annoyed and embarrassed.

"We kind of... spied on you?" Chase told and Marshall giggled.

I looked at them angrily. By the time I was as red as Marshall's firetruck.

"WHY? I WANTED TO CALM DOWN, BUT YOU JUST RUINED IT!" I shouted as tears formed in my eyes.

"What happened Rocky? I and Marshall were getting worried about you all day. What happened to you?" Chase asked.

"If you think I am going to tell you, think again." I told him.

"Oh, come on Rocky! Tell us, please?" he told and both him and Marshall did the puppy eyes trick.

"Oh come on! You know I cannot stand puppy eyes!" I told them.

They continued the puppy eyes until I broke.

"Ugh, fine! Just, no more puppy eyes!" I told them and they smiled at each other.

"This morning, I had gone to Everest's place and I... confessed her my love for her. And she rejected me." I told doing my best not break in tears.

The two pups looked at each other sad.

"Okay, you now know what has happened. GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!" I shouted as I looked at the moon and tears ran from my eyes.

"We are sorry Rocky... We didn't know..." Marshall told me.

"You had to know? NO! Stop getting in other people's lives! You too, Chase!" I shouted at the again.

They both dropped their ears and went to the Lookout.

After some time, I went back to the Lookout too.

Marshall's POV

So, Rocky was in love with Everest? And he got rejected by her? I feel a little sad for him, but I mainly feel good, because I love Everest too. This gives me the perfect opportunity to ask her out! I am going to go to her tomorrow afternoon. I hope she sais yes to me! Please, please, please!

The next morning

Chase's POV

This morning I wanted to confess to Skye, but to tell the truth, Rocky yesterday made me feel really anxious...

'What if she rejects you like Everest did to Rocky?' I thought again, and again, and again.

I took my megaphone and shouted for the pups to wake up.

"PUPS, WAKE UP! IT'S TIME FOR BREAKFAST!"

"Breakfast? I am coming!" Rubble told and ran out of his pup house, causing me to giggle.

"Why Chase? Why you had to use the megaphone?" Zuma, Skye and Marshall asked me annoyed.

Rocky, on the other hand, didn't get out of his pup house. I ignored the pups' complaints and went out of his pup house.

"Rocky, wake up!" I told, but no answer came.

"Weird..." I told as I entered the pup house.

But Rocky wasn't there. I got out of his pup house and saw Ryder coming towards me.

"Don't search for Rocky, he was still upset so he went to the city for a walk." he told me with a smile.

"Oh, okay." I told and smiled.

Then I got with the other pups for breakfast. During the breakfast, I sat next to Skye. I couldn't help but look at her. She is beautiful... The best pup I have ever met. I hope she loves me back. Marshall is the only one in here that knows my secret. All the other pups (I hope) are clueless.

"Earth to Chase, Earth to Chase? Chase are you out of the earth?" Rubble told and everybody laughed.

"Wh-what?" I told and tripped on my back left paw.

I fell on my back and everyone laughed at me. I blushed in embarrassment and stood back up.

After breakfast, I took Skye to the living room and we were alone.

"Skye, I have to tell you something..." I told her nervously.

"Okay, what Chase?" she asked smiling.

"Skye... I... I..." I stuttered.

I looked down and finally told.

"I love you, Skye."

Skye seemed surprised by that, as almost immediately her smile faded.

"Do you like me back?" I asked her.

"Um.. Um... I am really sorry Chase... But there is someone else..." she told leaving me speechless.

We stayed silent for a couple of minutes.

"Look, Chase, you are a very good pup, and you will find someone that cares about you." she told me.

"Leave it Skye." I told and went outside thinking.
